Fala has been carving tikis for the past 15 years. His father started teaching him to carve at age 8 and he loves and enjoys his work. As both artist and craftsman,
Fala combines a traditional sense of aesthetics typical of the Oceanic culture throughout the Pacific with a skillful display of woodworking technique that can be traced to his ancestors. He knows that these statues will always keep the tradition alive and that it will never be forgotten for as long as it travels around the world.
In addition to woodwork, Fala's artistic repertoire includes bone-carving as well as
Hawaiian 3D tapa printing. As a true artisan and master of his craft, Fala encourages you to inquire should you have any special requests.
